The Uganda Project

Uganda is a small landlocked country, about the size of Oregon, in East Africa. Uganda's population of approximately 31 million is mostly rural. Poverty, disease, lack of adequate housing, and high unemployment are some of the problems that face the nation as its population grows at a rate of 3.2 %, one of the fastest in the world. Medical Clinic – In the fall of 2009 a team of Conejo Compassion Coalition volunteers traveled to Uganda to open a medical clinic in the tiny rural village of Lwaboba. While there the team also had a well drilled to provide clean drinking water for the people of the village. ›› Read More
